So it has been a while since I posted- mainly because life has been crazy. I moved to a new place after couch surfing for a couple weeks. I now live about 5 miles from where I used to live... but my new place is in a whole new city. ... which doesnt mean much.
Anyways, I am enjoying the fact the for the first time in 3 years I do not live in a huge apartment complex. I now rent a duplex in a neighborhood. This is a great plus to running- because I can simply start running at the end of my driveway, not have to cross parking lots and huge intersections.
The only lame thing is that I run at about the same time kids start to wait for the school bus and its weird running past a bunch of teenagers every morning who look at me like I am totally nuts. I guess I must look lame in my running clothes or something. Or maybe they are just very unfriendly looking kids.
So I have bad news: My foot still hurts. I am hoping it will get better- and I get to see a podiatrist soon. Fun. Thank goodness I have medical insurance! Until then, I'm slowly building up my time and distance and paying close attention to how my foot feels. I think I should be OK- not as fast as I would like to be by the time the marathon comes up- but I will be able to finish and most importantly, I will have raised a bunch of money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
This weekend the Dish TV guy is coming over to hook me up with TV, so no team practice for me. Instead I am going to do a 10 mile run on my own......
